LVEM5 in the Barklis Lab
OHSU's Barklis lab have added the LVEM5 to their inventory of medical research instrumentation. The lab focuses their areas of research on the assembly and replication of viruses, such as retroviruses, flaviviruses and hantiviruses, and Delong is pleased to be helping them along the way.
The standard low-voltage of the LVEM5 allows for much stronger interactions between electrons and biologic samples like viruses. As such, imaging with the LVEM5 yields especially high contrast images that can be of significant importance in relation to research efforts.
